About Tony

The Story That Made Me Brave

When I was five years old, my grandmother told me I was “plum adorable.” I decided in that moment that if she thought that about me, then surely everyone must. That belief gave me courage, made me brave, and convinced me that my voice mattered. It was the spark that shaped my career and my mission: helping others find their voice, resolve conflict, and lead with bravery.

For more than 25 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of leadership development, conflict resolution, and mediation services in Virginia and across the U.S. At Intuit, I was tasked with shutting down an entire division. Instead, I rallied a team of bold individuals who re-imagined the business, transforming it into one of the company’s most successful units with more than 300% revenue growth. That experience confirmed what I now help clients discover every day: bravery changes everything.

Through Brave Mediation & Leadership, I deliver family mediation and divorce mediation nationwide. I hold qualifications across alternative dispute resolutions (ADR), general district court (GDC), juvenile domestic relations (J&DR), circuit court civil (CCC), circuit court family (CCF), and workplace mediation and training, serving clients from Virginia to South Carolina and extending west to California. My practice is referral-based, working exclusively with individuals and attorneys who choose mediation rather than being court-appointed. I also lead civil mediation for HOA, property, HO-6 claims, and business disputes, while providing executive coaching and leadership development for organizations across the United States. My disruptive approach blends proven conflict resolution strategies with the emotional intelligence (EQ) leaders need to confront uncomfortable truths and create real transformation.

Here’s the truth: I don’t do sugarcoating. I expect every client to bring at least a willingness to be brave and move forward. Because at the end of the day, conflict isn’t something to avoid — it’s something to face head-on. Bravery sparks the change. Grace makes it last.

Lessons from Lil Leroy

Meet Lil Leroy,
Chief Morale Officer

Lil Leroy is the heartbeat of Brave Mediation & Leadership. As Chief Morale Officer, he brings calm presence, steady energy, and a reminder to breathe when conversations get tough. His quiet companionship reflects our core values — bravery that steps forward, and grace that makes it last.

But here’s the truth: Lil Leroy doesn’t overcomplicate life. He’s satisfied with a stick, generous with grace, and endlessly loyal. He reminds us that leadership doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. He’s living proof that joy and simplicity fuel resilience.

And yes — he drinks out of the toilet bowl. Authenticity comes in many forms.

The Bravery Framework

“Therefore, each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor.” (Ephesians 4:25)

  • Bravery to Listen Fully

“Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.” (James 1:19)

  • Bravery to Seek Resolution

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” (Matthew 5:9)
